Important: By using Boltis, you agree to these terms and all applicable platform policies (TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, and others you connect).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Boltis ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Boltis is a desktop application that allows users to:

Edit & Crop Video Clips

Edit and crop video clips from Twitch

Optimize for Mobile

Create content optimized for vertical video platforms

Upload to Platforms

Optionally send an export to TikTok Inbox, or upload/publish to your own YouTube channel (Private, Unlisted, or Public) when you choose to

Manage Clips

Manage and organize video clips

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Own or have rights to all content you edit and upload
Comply with platform policies of TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, and other connected services
Respect copyright and intellectual property rights
Use the App legally and not for harmful or illegal purposes
Keep your account secure and not share authentication credentials

4. Content and Copyright

You are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have rights to edit and redistribute content
  • Obtaining necessary permissions for copyrighted material
  • Complying with DMCA and other copyright laws
  • Any legal issues arising from your use of the App

5. YouTube Publishing Terms

Boltis provides tools that allow you to upload videos to your own YouTube channel via the YouTube Data API, including posting with selected visibility settings (Private, Unlisted, or Public).

  • You are solely responsible for all content you upload or publish using Boltis, and for ensuring you have all rights, permissions, and licenses required for that content.
  • You must comply with YouTube's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, copyright rules, and applicable law.
  • By using Boltis YouTube features, you authorize Boltis to perform the actions you explicitly request through the product interface. Boltis does not initiate autonomous posting without user-triggered actions.
  • If you select Public visibility, you understand the video will become publicly visible on your channel after YouTube processes the upload.
  • Boltis may limit, suspend, or remove YouTube integration features to comply with platform policies, legal requirements, or abuse-prevention obligations.

6. Platform Integration

Connecting TikTok, YouTube, or Twitch is optional. When you connect a third-party account, you acknowledge:

  • You grant Boltis permission to use those accounts only for actions you start in the App (for example, clicking Send or Publish after an export, including choosing Private, Unlisted, or Public on YouTube). We do not post or upload in the background.
  • You remain subject to those platforms' terms, including the YouTube Terms of Service and TikTok's terms, when you use those connections
  • Boltis is not responsible for changes to third-party platform policies
  • You can revoke access in Boltis Settings, or through your Google or TikTok account settings

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Boltis to:

Upload copyrighted content without permission
Create content that violates platform community guidelines
Harass, spam, or abuse other users
Distribute malware or harmful code
Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the App
Use the App for commercial purposes without permission

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Boltis is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Compatibility with all systems or platforms
  • Accuracy of all features and functions
  • Availability of third-party platform integrations

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boltis and its developers shall not be liable for any damages arising from:

Use or inability to use the App
Content uploaded through the App
Third-party platform changes or restrictions
Data loss or corruption

10. Billing and refunds

Premium is optional. How trials, cancellation, and refunds work is set out in ourRefund Policy.

11. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review ourPrivacy Policyto understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

12. Updates and Changes

We reserve the right to:

  • Update the App and add new features
  • Modify these terms with notice to users
  • Discontinue features or the App entirely
  • Restrict access for violations of these terms

13. Termination

You may stop using Boltis at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these terms or engage in harmful behavior.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in UK courts.
