Install Boltis

Boltis is safe to install. If Windows shows a security warning, follow the steps below.

QuickClips is now Boltis. Same app, new name. The installer shows the new name from the latest release onwards.

About Windows SmartScreen

You may see a Windows Defender SmartScreen warning when installing Boltis. This is normal for software from independent developers.

Why does this happen?

  • We're an indie developer Boltis is built by a small team, not a large corporation with expensive code signing certificates.
  • SmartScreen warns about unrecognized apps not necessarily dangerous ones. It's based on download reputation, not actual threat detection.
  • We're working on certification as Boltis grows, we'll obtain official code signing to remove this warning.

How to Install

Download & Run

Click the download button below and run the installer. Windows may show a SmartScreen popup.

Click "More info"

On the SmartScreen popup, click the "More info" link to reveal additional options.

Click "Run anyway"

Click "Run anyway" to proceed with the installation. Boltis will install normally.
